Blue Oars cottage has been updated to comfortably sleep six adults in three bedrooms (2 x queen beds, one double) and a seventh person on a fold-out divan in the lounge. A large dining table easily accomodates eight or more people. The cottage is cool in summer and cosy in winter. Koalas visit the large eucalypts in the garden and can often be seen in the numerous large trees in the area. An easy, level walk to the beach via our back lane takes you to one of Westernport's most pristine beaches. A stroll along the sand takes you to Coolart historic home and wetlands with bird observing " hides". Beyond that, walk on to Somers for coffee at the Somers Store.

Blue Oars cottage provides the perfect base for exploring the area surrounding Balnarring. Walk the beach observing the shore birds and occasional dolphins. Enjoy the magnificence of a bye-gone era at Coolart historic house, have a coffee at the Somers store. Visit the numerous wineries which abound in the Mornington Peninsular region, visit the weekend markets, purchase fresh produce from the farm gate or take in the galleries showcasing local artists. For the energetic, Balnarring Beach lends itself to a variety of water activities including swimming, fishing and boating. There is ample room to store your boat if you choose to bring it. Balnarring Beach provides something for everyone.

Family time

Blue Oars cottage is ideal for families. Secure fencing and space to play. A quick walk to the General Store via our lane way and an easy, level walk to a safe swimming beach. Afterwards, rinse off under our outdoor shower, enjoy meals outside on the rear deck with the barbeque or in the front garden. A well stocked games cupboard will help occupy all ages. Bird watching, animal spotting and lots of walking will povide rich experiences for a memorable family holiday. Well mannered pets are welcome by arrangement and at additonal charge.
