47 Shelley Street is two blocks from the beach, where - if you are so inclined - you can join the healthy ones who walk or jog along the beach pathway. Alternatively, you can amble along enjoying the views of Port Phillip Bay (and, of course go for a dip) or explore the city of Melbourne. If it all gets too much for you, there are several cafes and restaurants dotted along the way to the beach.

A 15-minute walk away is the famous Acland Street, St Kilda - home of the most wonderful cake shops. But also full of cafes, clothing, book and home ware stores. Right nearby is Luna Park and the Sea Baths complex, containing a gym, pool, shops and even more restaurants. On Sundays, the St Kilda Esplanade plays host to an extensive Art & Craft market. Five minutes further walking and you are at Albert Park, the home of the Melbourne Formula One Grand Prix.

In addition, 47 Shelley Street is only a 15-minute taxi ride to the city, the Arts Centre, Concert Hall, State Theatre, South Bank restaurants and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (or there is a bus and/or tram that will take you there). Glenhuntly train station is close by and this gives easy access to the city, as well as Flemington and Caulfield Race tracks (where you\'ll find the Melbourne and Caulfield Cups).

Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre is a short drive or Bus /Tram trip away.
