LOCATION:
Armadale lies approximately 30 minutes south east of Perth CBD. The main routes into the region are Albany Highway and Armadale Road. Armadale was originally a milling district though this area is better known for its thick forests, parks and nature reserves.
Armadale was founded in 1831 and has a rich cultural history, chish you can first discover at the History House Municipal Museum, part of the historic precinct located in Minnawarra Park, astride Neerigen Brook.
Armadale grew up around the Narrogin Inn, a hostelry established in 1852 at the point where the road from Perth forked, one branch going off to Albany, the other to Bunbury - ow the Albany and South West Highways. The original Inn has long gone but the present one (built in 1936) remains an important landmark.
