Rosebud Beach House

Front of Beach House at dusk
Front of Beach House at dusk
Location West Rosebud/Tootgarook/Rye
Type Cottage/ House
Attraction 400 m to Beach/Golf/Vineyards

Located in between Rosebud and Rye, 400 metres to the bay beach and near cafes/restaurants with a bus stop right at the end of street. Sorrento and Portsea only a 10/15 minute drive away so save your money on accomodation and spend it on dining out. Property has reverse cycle airconditioning both downstairs and upstairs so it's cool in the heat and warm in the cold. Go to the auto play feature located at the top of the page to see more photos of the house as well as the fish available in the bay and local attractions. The photo with coffee cups is Coppins Cafe in Sorrento and is not the view from my beach house, my beach house does not have sea views but the sea is right at the end of the street about a 3 minute walk away.

Location

Rosebud Beach House is located on the Mornington Peninsula -approximately 1 hrs drive from the centre of Melbourne. It is at the end of a No Through Road so is lovely and quiet and because it is located in West Rosebud it avoids the hustle and bustle of Rosebud in the summer months. The Capel Sound Foreshore beach which is located only 400 metres away and nearly visible from outside the front of the house is relatively quiet and frequented mainly by locals.

Bike paths opposite the beach provide safe access for children to either Rosebud or Rye on defined trails, but you can of course cycle all the way to Sorrento or Portsea.

Cafes and Restaurants are only a 10 minute walk from the house whilst the following attractions are indicated in drive times - Rosebud Country club (3) Eagle Ridge Rosebud Public Golf course (6) Moonah Links Golf Course (9) Dunes G.C. (10) The National G.C. (15) -Arthurs Seat and chair lift (10) -Gunnamatta Ocean Beach(12) -Wineries (10-20) -Strawberry Farm (10) -National Park (10) -Sorrento Car Ferry(15)

Facilities

Rosebud Beach House is a 2 storey Holiday Home in excellent condition, it has been extended twice and now boasts a living area above the garage. A child safety gate has been installed at the top of the stairs so you don\'t have to worry about your toddler whilst relaxing upstairs.

The 3 bedrooms comfortably sleep 6 with 2 Double Beds and 2 Singles but there is also a sofa bed located in the downstairs living area which pulls out to make a further double bed to take sleeping to 8 and there are also two portable beds that can be erected to take total sleeping to 10 if for example 2 families are sharing the house. The fully equipped kitchen has everything supplied, the kitchen is fully stocked with crockery, glassware, saucepans etc. Their is a 6 seater dining table which extends to sit 8 to 10. Their are 4 more chairs located in a small entrance room at the front of the house just before the front door that can be used if the table has to be extended. The beach house has reverse cycle airconditioning both upstairs and downstairs.

We had a fantastic Easter break at the Rosebud Beach House. Beach is close for the kids and a very nice beach at that. The house's facilities were more than enough to accommodate our needs. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay, very comfortable and the best nights sleep I've had in ages. Lovely property for the kids due to the quite street and short stroll to the beach. We also liked the fact a cleaner was used at the property which hasn't happened at some of the other houses we've stayed at.

Absolutely fantastic holiday and great place to stay especially for families, loved the fact we could just grab the towels and walk to the beach. The DVD and movies were a nice touch, good job Ozstays. Property highly recommended.
