Reviews of Adelaide City
Rating: 10 out of 5
Kylie - March 2007
City was fantastic over V8 Supercar Round 1 with heaps of alfresco dining & activity. Heaps more female & family friendly than Gold Coast round of V8\'s. And we ran into Mark Skaife & Todd Kelly in the lobby of their hotel while we were enjoying happy hour in the bar!! Bonus points for that!!

What I liked the most about Adelaide was that it was so close to the vineyards. I did a lot of wine tasting and there were all fantastic

adelaide is well titled the city of churches. it is quite a cosmopolitan city with beautiful architecture and great tourist attractions like a restaurant set on a boat out at sea

Capital of S.A. Known as the city of churches, famous for glenelg beach also the hills around it. Where there is a lot of german influence a great place to visit and easy to get around.

Make sure your visit coincides with the test cricket or the town is fairly quiet. If you are a church lover you have plenty to choose from

The city of Churches. A good stop over point on the way from melbourne to Aires Rock. All the mod cons of a big urban city with wide selection of hotels and attractions

Adeliade is so different to say Sydney and Melbourne. While it has the building and churches like these places, it also has a unique, homely charm that I loved. The houses/ architecture in some of the suburbs in Adelaide are gorgeous as well.

Visited this big country town twice now. Easy to get around, beautiful parklands & of course, well known for its churches.Don\'t miss Hahndorf & the Barossa, Mount Lofty & the koalas where you even get to hold one.

Its a BIG country town! Lovely place, very easy to navigate, beautiful parklands. Zoo needs upgrading (which they are doing) and if you travel south you will find some gorgeous beaches and wineries.

Very different to Sydney. Walk from one side of the city to the other. Really nice town. Nice pubs. Recommend going on the tram to Glenelg.

No soul to the place nothing that excites a tourist or business traveler. Needs to find its place in life and stop trying to be melbourne.

lots of churches. good to go and visit when the cricket is on as the town is a buzz. pretty boring unless you head out to the surrounding wine regions

The parks are very attractive. This city reminded me of Christchurch in NZ but of course it was designed by the same city planner.

Quiet city moving at a slower pace than I am used to. If you are looking for something relaxing there are nice parks and churches otherwise... keep driving.

Quiet city, city of churches as they say, Glenelg Beach is nice and relaxing

It\'s a lovely city although the tap water is a bit of a miss. I could suggest a pie floater is an Adelaide tradition but the ride to Glenelg on the tram is the thing for me!

Adelaide has beaches, cool journeys into its beautiful hill area, top shopping, churches for Africa, and a beautiful cricket ground. Not inspiring but South Australia grows on you after a few days and Adelaide is a smart, organised place.

I spent 5 years in Adelaide. Very quiet city. Easy to live and move around. People are very friendly. Beaches are great!!! Unfortunately the water in the ocean doesn’t get very warm in the summer.

Adeliade the city of churches. A very laid back kind of place. Very oderly. Not much chaos. If you are looking for a place to rage and party it might be worth giving adelaide a miss.

A lot of people on the East coast of Australia bag Adelaide as a destination, but when you go out with some locals you will have a great weekend at beaches, bars, restaurants and wineries. Adelaide city has some very cool pubs - Belgian Beer Cafe - and bars. We didn\'t make it to the Casino, but did have a Pie Floater - which was not as good the Harry\'s Cafe de Wheels mashed Pea topped Pie in Sydney. Adelaide for a weekend - two thumbs up!
