Armidale is located inland in the Northern NSW district. It is known for its large Teachers College. It gets cold in the winter and can sometimes snow.

Armidale is a rural town in northern NSW with a high elevation and occasionally it snows in the winter. It features a teaching university which complements the town and adds to its diversity

really a place you visit because you know someone there. But once there it is a very pretty town, which in winter gets VERY cold. Not a great deal to do, but enough for a weekend away.

My husband goes to Armidale for work every year and I got to go with him. Pretty busy town. Gotta try a steak at \'The Newie\' (New England Hotel). Probably one of the best steaks I\'ve had. Armidale is a beautiful place. Really nice scenery. Quite a few things to do here.

Wonderful landscape and wonderful feel to this fantastic town. Feels like a little bit of Melbourne in the country.

Touted as Australia\'s highest city and located midway between Sydney and Brisbane, the changing colours in its landscape are a must see at least once.
