Quiet and friendly small town. Great beaches but nowhere near as touristy as Byron Bay!

Ballina in Northern NSW is home of the \'Big Prawn\'. Situated on the Water, Ballina is quite a large town. Lots of shops and eateries, and plenty of things to do, including a lot of water sports. We usually stop off here for a meal on our way to QLD. Locals are all quite friendly.

Nice and quiet for a weekend escape. Great base for visiting Lismore and Lennox as accommodation is cheaper.

Main town on the far north coast. Not as pretty as neighbouring Lennox Head but more of a residential working town. Still pretty.

Ballina maybe shadowed by it\'s more glamorous Byron Bay sister but it is the commercial hub of that region with the base hospital and courts.
