Dom - January 2006
A nice long open beach. Often overcrowed in summer. Shops and restaurants along the Bondi strip are a bit tacky. The clifftop walk from Bondi to Tammarama beach a must.

Over-rated and over-crowded with rude backpackers. I must agree that one must see it to believe it. There are other nicer beaches in Sydney! Check out Watson Bay or Manly Beach instead.

Bondi Beach is one of the most tourist beaches in Australia. It is busy 24 hours 7 days a week. Sometimes there are volleyball tournaments at the beach

A great place to stay and mingle with the tourist of Australia. Home to lots fo cheap backpackers. Relax on the beach or stroll along the cliff tops. A must see in Sydney.

An Australian icon as much as it is a Sydney one - good for a look and a day but can be a bit much after a while

A great place for looking at beautiful people and with some great night life, especially the live acts at the Bondi Beach Hotel

Loved Bondi Beach. It is very pretty, being right on the beach. There are wonderful cafes and bars. Nice for a dip in the ocean or a swim or a suntan.

Bondi Beach; famous the world over, it is a popular tourist destination for surfing, swimming, dining and accomodation.

Bondi Beach is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sydney. It is always full of tourists and the beach is very busy all year long. If you are going there take public transportation instead of driving. It is really hard to park.

Surfers love the beach, beach goers love the beach, personally I LOVE the shopping at Bondi Junction - something for everyone and then some. Just don\'t catch a cab from there to the airport, close on $40!

Great beach. It\'s a must if you are visiting Sydney. Lots of restaurants and cafes.

Bondi Beach - exactly what I expected. Fantastic surf and overrun with English tourists. Good pub and plenty of cafes to choose from to do some people watching.

I wouldn\'t say that Bondi is the best beach in Sydney. It\'s always very crowded on hot days and not enough parking if you drove there. I always manage to go for a drive to Bondi about twice a year. They have really good cafe\'s just across from the beach which make the trip worthwhile.

As iconic a beachscape as you will find, Bondi Beach is where it is all at. Look for the odd visiting celebrity or enjoy al fresco dining with the ocean as a backdrop.

A great base for anyone staying in Sydney who likes crowds - especially the budget traveller- A must see. Easy access to the city or surrounding suburbs. Great restaurants/night life and you must do the costal walk

Hmmm really isn\'t the greatest beach too many people and pervs! it gets quite dirty because of this. but there is a good cliff walk towards coogee or vice versa which is lovely and really worth doing and I suppose you can\'t come to Sydney without at least seeing the beach. Icebergs restaurant worth the trip.

great beach, fantastic walks along the coast, nice shops and great places to eat and drink

The beach is known the world over, I especially enjoy doing the coast walk to Coogee past a number of small coves - the walk is not too strenuous.

Very busy on a weekend. Great for a promenade to see the waves rolling into a perfectly curved beach. Old brick houses line the hills around the bay and there are plenty of options for outdoor eating in the many cafes along the beachfront road

Art deco and a bit run down with some great restaurants; Seans Panorama, icebergs and for a really greasy burger, the 3 steps cafe

Nice beach but gets very crowded around Christmas and new years. There are some nice waves and keep on the look out for white pointers!

Everyone rates this as the best area for beach, not me. Head to the northern beaches of Sydney, little effort to get there but the reward is worth it!

Bondi Beach is the place to be seen.. lots of tourists though! There is a fabulous walk that you can do along the coast which is great early in the mornings

I don\'t care too much for the tourists swarming the beach - but I do enjoy the fabulous coastal walk which takes you past a number of smaller coves until you reach Coogee, which is well worth it. The views are fantastic and although the walk is a little strenuous in parts, it is also relaxing and very enjoyable.

Overrated as a location goes. Very busy with great restaurants but there are plenty of Sydney beaches with more class.

Bondi Beach is one of Sydney biggest beaches with plenty of sand. Best place to observe it all is at the Icebergs.

Bondi Beach is a tourist trap for godd reason - close to the city, beautiful beach, everything you can hope from a beachside venue.

It\'s a nice place to take your friends visiting Sydney cause it\'s overrated and one has to see it for themselves. It\'s full of backpackers as well making the whole scene more surfy than it deserves.

The most popular Sydney beach, but I don\'t think this is the best beach. It is so overcrowded in a hot summery day...

Bondi Beach is great for the crowd watching summer day packed beach experience - all tourists should go to Bondi at least once. If you want to check out a smaller beach - Bronte Beach is just a couple of kilometres south of Bondi and is a local gem.
