Homebush Bay used to be a heavy industrial area of Sydney. Now it has been transformed in to a great place to hold sporting and concerts events.

Great place and facilities that hosted the Olympic games. They have really transformed the Homebush Bay from a industrial suburb to a modern sporting and events place.

Only recently went to the area for the Kylie concert. An awesome nightlife when things are going on there. Close accommodation and transport is there. There is an awesome pub located there which is the place to be before and after events at the stadium or arena. Well lit up, a nice place to hang out.

Sydney Olympics were based here, and wow what an amazing centre of activity it was. If you are an Olympic nut, take a trip to visit the site.

Talk about transition, anyone who had been to homebush before the Olympics would never recognise this new, thoroughly organised destination - perfect for bike riding and picnics.

Homebush bay is great for sporting events. It is easy to get to from most parts of Sydney via bus or train. I was here quite often during the Sydney Olympics watching the basketball and handball - this is quite an interesting sport!

Home of major sporting events, The Easter Show, concerts and conferences, Homebush was manmade for the Olympics. It\'s 30 mins drive/train to the CBD. They do hold other events here during school holidays but on most ordinary days, it feels deserted.

Basing yourself here means you are approx 40 mins from most places- ie foot of the mountains, the northern beaches, even less for the city.

Homebush Bay is a lovely family friendly place to visit. A secret is the award-wining walkway over the Brickpit built to preserve the golden bay frog.

The home of the 2000 Sydney Olympics and a nice 20 minute trip by ferry or train from downtown Sydney. Stadium tour is interesting.

It gets warm in summer as it\'s a large open area. The Olympic Park and surrounds offer lots of outdoor and hobby activities, there\'s always something fun to do or try for the first time.

The Olympic games are over but Homebush Bay is still alive... Very nice place to be, especially in the summer when it gets hot.

Homebush Bay is home of Olympics and besides all the stadiums etc you wouldn\'t really go out to Homebush Bay if you were not attending a sporting event. I find there isn\'t much more to do out there..

I was there everyday during the Sydney Olympic Games and I had so much fun. I wish we had Olympic Games every year. The stadium is huge.
