Reviews of Kempsey
Rating: 6 out of 5
Melissa - October 2005
A great historic town with beautiful scenery of neighbouring suburbs. We usually go through Kempsey when we go to stay at Sth West Rocks. There is a road that leads around the mountainside from Kempsey which is fantastic if you have a four wheel drive. Have had a meal at the local club, which wasn\'t too bad.

Some lovely little towns outside of Kempsey including the Frankston Cheese Factory. Kempsey itself doesn\'t have much to offer .

The town itself is quite pretty. Not much in the way of nightlife but the proximity to the beaches of Crescent Head and South West Rocks makes it well worth it. As the birthplace of the Akubra Hat and Slim Dusty not to mention Thomas Kenneally and a former Miss World it has produced some notables for such a small place. It will soon have a Slim Dusty Centre which will be great.

No much of a place! and the RSL shuts at midnight! there are better places on the north coast, so keep moving!

We\'ve driven through Kempsey a couple of times on the way to Coffs Harbour - it wasn\'t a place that we particularly liked so we kept heading north.
