I loved the old buildings here. There are also lots of parks and sqaures. Really pretty town. Not much to do though.

More like a big country town. Some great resteraunts, but mostly just a good place to stay to access other locations: close to wineries, & both east coast & Cradle Mountain are good day trip distance. Stayed at Windmill Hill Lodge booked thru Stayz - great breakfasts & well looked after.

Visit Boag\'s Brewery with its guided tour, enjoy the many parks and gardens and take a look at the Cataract Gorge area- liked this city because of its old buildings and slow pace of life.

Not as pretty as it\'s southern equivalent Hobart but a gateway to the Tamar region which is wonderful for wine lovers.

Launceston is the third oldest city in Australia after. The city centre is a lovely place. The old buildings are still there very well combined with the new architecture.

The Cataract Gorge is a nice place to visit. Also, take a drive out to the Bridstowe Lavender farm.
