A town at the back of the Blue Mountains noted for its coal deposits. The zig zag railway is worth a ride especially in winter as it snows in and around the town.

If you go to Lithgow in the Blue Mountains, you have to take a ride on the Steam Train on the Zig Zag Railway. It is an awesome experience and I\'m sure it operates every day of the year.

Little town nestled the west side of the Blue Mountains. Not much of a tourist haven.

You have to drive down to get into Lithgow and up to get out - it\'s a bit of a ditch. If you have to go there, driving around Laky Lyle is nice enough and if you can find the Glow Worm Tunnels at Newnes, they are quite interesting
