A great place to visit all year around. Surf the point, stroll along the beaches, eat at one of the many cafes.

The Great Ocean Road is magnificent but Lorne is terribly overpriced when compared to other comparable tourist destinations.

It is located on the Great Ocean Road.

A bit to far for a day trip from Melbourne but recommend those travelling along the great ocean road from Melbourne use this as their first stop. A beautiful beach side town. Have dinner at the pub overlooking the ocean.

Well worth a look around. Cute shops and good food. Its the best town by far along the great ocean road. Holds great music festival.

Relatively unspoilt beaches, good surfing and with excellent bushwalking in the Angahook State Park , Lorne offers lots of acitivities for both kids and adults. The trip there via The Great Ocean Road is terrific- especially if done on a Harley.

A nice little town on the Great Ocean Road. There\'s a really good little takeaway shop that has really good food. There\'s a nice grass area to kick a ball around on the ocean side of the road. Locals are great. A lot of tourists stop here.

Melbourians are divided over what side of the coast they holiday at over summer -- some go to the Portsea side, others to the Lorne side.. Both are unique in their own way. Lorne is a bit relaxed, but still one of the places one should be \'seen\'.

One of the nicest places on the Great Ocean Road. Worth a weekend from Melbourne. Quite upmarket with some highrise apartments along the beach. Lovely beach to wander and take in the seascapes.

if you go to the pub in town make sure you arrive before the families as it can be hard to get a table. the golf course is very hilly and only good if you have one leg shorter than the other.
town is very nice and lots of cafes along the waterfront

Great place for surfing. There are always waves over there... But the waters are freezing.

A great beach town, laid back and posh at the same time. The Grand Pacific Hotel is great for drinking and has an excellent restaurant and patio upstairs with views over the town and beach. Erskine Falls is beautiful for a walk in the hinterland.
