Located between Brisbane and Cairns, the Mackay Region coastline stretches 200 km. There are beautiful beaches and nice National Parks in the area around Mackay. For me the most interesting thing was the ocean tides. Go there when it is a low tide. It is so impressive and unbelievable how far back into the ocean the water goes.

Great town, still has regional town feel, but growing by the day. Make sure you check out marina, Eungella and weekend nightlife!
