Mittagong is in the Southern Highlands of NSW. It is elevated so can get quite cold. Lake Alexandra is no more than 250 metres from Mittagong\'s main street. You can feed the ducks and enjoy a peaceful picnic.

Mittagong is a lovely town situated South of Sydney. It can get very cold here in the Winter months. There is all the facilities you will need when visiting with some great shops and food.

Another nice town in the Southern Highlands. A great main street with lots of shops and cafes. It is usually quite cold here. Quite a few lookouts around the area. Well worth the visit.

First settled in the 1800\'s, there is history to learn about, scenery to feast your eyes on, small waterfalls, bushwalks or a picnic at peaceful Lake Alexandra which is very close to town.

Mittagong is a nice little town - I\'ve been through here a number of times but it is especially pretty to see in autumn. There are a few nice cafes there to enjoy your morning coffee and then you can continue your day visiting the many art galleries and antique shops.

Great Southern Highlands town a short drive from Sydney. Nice to stroll around and also use as a base to visit other towns in the area.

Old country town just a stones throw down the M5 from Sydney. If tea and scones is your thing, you\'ll love Mittagong. Definitely a quiet weekend break as it really is quite sleepy. Has all the conveniences of a small town.

Mittagong is less famous than it\'s Bowral cousin but just off the freeway. I recommend the model railway museum just off the exit from the freeway (coming from Sydney).

Such a pretty area, there are lots of little towns in the area and many of Sydney\'s rich have second homes there. This means you can usually get good coffee and there are some great antique shops and art galleries. Really sweet day out from Sydney or weekend get away. Try the guest houses.
