Reviews of Mudgee
Rating: 10 out of 5
Jane - April 2005
We stayed on a Yabby Farm 15 minutes drive from Mudgee town. Wonderful hosts, lovely accomodation and very ample breakfast supplies. Crisp clear Autumn air, glorious countryside, star-spangled night-skies, all a short drive from Mudgee\'s busy centre. Leafy, grassy, parks for plenty of kid-playtime and wholesome, hearty pub meals. Fine local wines and produce, hand-crafted jewellery, art, and picture-perfect scenery. A wonderful relaxing break away from bustling, hectic city life.

Mudgee has reinvented itself from a dying country town that is not on the main routes to a destination town due to the wineries just across the Blue Mountains which makes it suitable for a romantic getaway.

Stopped in for lunch at one of the fabulous wineries here. Lovely little country town with some gems of wineries dotted about waiting for you to discover them.

Mudgee was a great find in the middle of nowhere really. The best part was all the wineries here!

This is one trendy up and coming country town, brilliant wines too! Good shopping, would you beleive! Di Lucio have some great unique wines and something really appealing about the no-pretence cellar door. Also, take a day and check out near by Gulgong, well worth the drive. Excellent coffee at the Gallery Coffee Shop.
