A nice trip on a ferry, there is a fair bit of interesting history here and some good shopping but I would stay in Sydney rather than parramatta.

Parramatta is a city in itself. There is a wide choice of restuarants to choose from - check out a place called Inside Out, the food is good.

Very large suburb of Sydney. Good public transport from Parramatta to the CBD of Sydney, It is approx 30 min to the CBD. Good shooping and a hub of activity and commerce.

Think of some of the best shopping in Sydney but with parking and you will get an idea as to why Parramatta is so popular

A thriving city to the west of Sydney it used to be a rough area of Sydney but has reinvented itself Major retail shopping entertainment and sprinkled with some of NSW colonial history easily reached by ferry from circular quay.

A great place to go shopping at the huge Westfield Shopping Centre. You could really spend all day just shopping here. Parramatta has a great night life as well with lots of restaurants and bars. There\'s a really good comedy club on Church Street which is worth a visit.

A city within a city, Parramatta is a proud place and a nice end location for visitors taking the river car. There is some serious shopping and a bustling ambience.

Have lost my car many a time in the Westfield complex which surely must cater to ever whim. Parramatta is a mini Sydney, catch the ferry and explore all the knooks and crannys.

Parramatta is a fascinating cultural and historic part of Sydney. The best way to get there is a 50 minute trip from Circular Quay.

Take a ferry from the city up Parramatta River. It is very enjoyable trip especially on a good sunny day.

Parramatta is the central business district of Western Sydney and is easily accessible by train and ferry. Ecerything you\'d expect from a large town - shopping, cinemas etc.

It\'s a fair way away from Sydney centre by car. An alternative is to take a ferry up Parramatta River from the city.

There\'s a Westfield Shopping Mall here, so perfect for Kiwis who can recognise the brand! Great ferry trip into the city, definitely beats the bus or train, as its peaceful down the Parramatta River and then the harbour is pretty spectacular.

Heaps of dining options and plenty of retail therapy. Old Government House is day out for the kids if you like history. Have a coffee by the river at the cafe at Harris Farm markets. Don\'t forget the ferry ride from Circular Quay is a good way to see more of Sydney too
