So much to do and see in St Kilda. Acland Street certainly a favourite with an abundance of cake and gelati shops. Ciccolina\'s- the fine dining institution a must. Luna Park and pony rides on the foreshore also a winner with the kids.

Eclectic mix of people - from backpackers & bohemians to the rich and famous. Make sure you buy a cake from one of the many cake shops on Acland St, and head to The Stokehouse restaurant on the beach (downstairs) for a decently priced meal with an incredible view.

On a hot summer night in Melbourne this is almost where everyone comes out to play. I love \'Riva\' for drinks on the balcony.

A sunny seaside about of Australia\'s best city, Melbourne. Home to Luna Park, irresistable cake shops and interesting markets, St Kilda is just a short tram ride away from Melbourne\'s CBD.

St kilda has heaps of bars and cafes. some of the better ones are located on acland and fitzroy st. The st kilda baths complex is also a good spot to watch the sun set.

This was the first place I stayed when I was looking to move to Melbourne. I was told that St Kilda was dangerous and seedy. Not true. It is a seaside suburb full of character, great restaurants and wonderful Victorian architecture. Close to the city and close the sea. Still a favourite place to visit, now that I live in this city

What a wonderful cosmopolitan, trendy, hippie and just plain cool suburb of Melbourne. It is a short tram ride from the CBD. It is located on the shores of Port Phillip Bay. There are wonderful cafes, nightclubs, Luna Park, cafes on the beach & Sunday markets. Its a suburb that is alive.

What a wonderful cosmopolitan suburb of Melbourne. It is situated on Port Phillip Bay approx 5km from the CBD. Acland St is its famous cafe strip. Luna park is situated in St Kilda. Also the Palace Nightclub Venue and the Palais Theatre are located in St Kilda. There is also the wonderful seaside restaurant called the Stoke House and of course we cant forget the St Kilda Baths which has wonderful facilities including a wonderful Day Spa.

A great place to people watch anywhere you go. The beach is a bit rotten, but there are many nice park areas around it, and the St. Kilda Botanical Gardens are just up the road with lots of free concerts on the weekend in the spring and summer. A nightlife mecca, with many trendy bars and clubs. The Palais is perhaps Melbourne\'s best music venue, followed by the Esplanade Hotel, also in St. Kilda, with a grungier atmosphere. St Kilda is best for brekkie and a day lounging around in its cafes and shops.
