Great Queensland weather and nice beaches, but quite commercial. Lots of tourists and tourist shop, with tourist prices to match. Worth exploring a little further up the coast towards Broadbeach and Burleigh heads.

For me Surfers Paradise is over rated-Broadbeach has a lot more to offer and has a much more relaxed feel.

An awesome place on the Gold Coast in Queensland. So much to see and do. Great food and nightlife, fantastic beaches and friendly locals. Many theme parks to go and visit and there are always great events such as the Indy Carnival which is held here every October. Definately the party capital of Queensland. A great visit. Will always come back to visit Surfers.

Surfers is the Heart of the Gold Coast and has fantastic beaches, hence SURFERS .... PARADISE.... which get very crowded in summer. Shops galore, restaurants are in abundance and the night life surpasses any in Queensland.

Their are clubs and pubs for every persuasion. Personally I like Cocktails and Dreams but it\'s been afew years since I was there.

Cavill Avenue is the heart of the heart and everything you could need is here including a Ripleys Believe it or not.. well worth a look.

Cheap shops are on the outter edges of Cavill Avenue where youll find bargains galore.

You just have to try an icecream from the little red shop at the entrance to the Paradise Centre.

Surfers Paradise is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia. It a great place to spend a week relaxing at the beach. There are also some very nice bars and restaurants in the area

The Gold Coast is a tourists meca and any of the beaches suffice for accommodation, but Surfers is the heart and soul of the coast. It has Cavill Avenue which is the heart of the heart. Everything you need on holidays is right here and if not right here, within an easy drive. World reknowned and worth a visit at least once a decade.

All the theme parks are based here.. and they are great if you are into that kind of thing. There are also some stunning beaches too

While it certainly is a great place for families and accommodation very affordable, tacky attractions and overpriced retail makes it a disappointment compared to nearby Broadbeach.

We stayed at Paradise Resort after a day at Seaworld and it was terrific - very family-friendly and good value for money.

Best to see when everyone else is at work or school as this is a very popular destination.

It is not the best place for surfing in Australia, but the beaches are amazing. The beach is more than 70km long and very very wide with really warm water. It is not my type of resort, but great shopping and one of the best bars and restaurants in Queensland.

You either love it or hate it! I was there for schoolies and thought it was fantastic, after that I reallised it was tacky and a tourist trap. If you like high rises on the beach and fighting for sun as it sets then this is the place!

Although Surfers is kind of tacky, and don\'t even dream of going their in \'schoolie week\' when half drunk, half crazed school kids hit the beach and the bars, there is still some charm here. The beach is lovely, but wear shoes, it can be known for lurking syringes just beneath the sand... Don\'t get me wrong, I enjoy Surfer\'s Paradise for a short holiday. The resorts are lovely and there is plenty to do around this area. Don\'t miss Sea World

Surfers is regarded as the center of Gold Coast. Cavill Mall is the pedestrian zone of Surfers. While the beach is quite long - beware of the strong rips.

Easily the worst place in Australia. High rise buildings, fast food restaurants, casinos. People seem to love it but I just don\'t get it. Even the theme parks are overpriced. The beach is lovely but there are plenty of wonderful beaches elsewhere that have retained their natural charm.

Try staying in the serviced apartments instead of the hotels, for a more homely feel with the views. Enjoy washing your hands in the kitchen gazing out to the ocean.

I like Surfers Paradise, however it is a little to commercialized for me. It is beautiful and there is always lots to do however I find it a little to plastic for my liking.

The mad place of the Gold Coast, plenty of nightclubs in heart of surfers and Cavall Ave is a must see if you\'re in Surfers. If you like a rat race this is the place for you.

this time we got a house in broadbeach. We were ovelooking one of the canels and had a great view. We did the superpass and had a ball. I was exausted after we did the theme parks over and over and over again. Entry was endless so we kept going back. The kids had a ball and we were broke. We took heaps of pics and we are planning another trip again. Oh if at Movieworld you gotta do the scooby doo ride... excellent

Surfers has it all. Movie world, Wet and wild, Warner Brothers Movie world and the beaches. The water is clear and the days are warm. What more do you want? Go to Surfers and treat yourself.
